What's the big deal?

I never understood mandalas.  Of course I often thought they were intricate and beautiful, but I had no idea how you'd even begin to go about making one or why everyone thought they were so great.  But instead of asking, I just blew them off.  Well .. that's until I saw this video on  a fellow blogger's blog (thanks Elena).. it really is fantastic.  And I GET IT NOW!  Can't wait to make my first one!
